The Building Maintenance Price Book has been specifically produced to help all those involved in estimating, costing and buying building maintenance works.
Based on the latest cost information provided by experienced estimators specialising in the field, the 2021 Price Book covers all aspects of maintenance work, including repairs, refurbishment and demolition; all presented in easily accessible trade sections.
The building maintenance price book can be used in conjunction with the JCT Standard Forms of Measured Term Contract and the Repair and Maintenance Contract, NEC4 Term Service contract and ICC Term contract for letting work on this basis.
It can also be used to check contractors' estimates, invoices and claims. The 'Labour Constants' and 'Measured Rates' sections have been combined so that all labour, plant and material costs are now shown on the one page.
The building maintenance price book is now more compact and easy-to-read landscape format. It contains the latest labour, materials and plant hire costs for maintenance work, repairs and rehabilitation - helping you plan and budget.
The BCIS Building Maintenance Price Book 2021 contains materials prices and hire rates rulings at January 2021, wage rates for labour are those current at 4th January 2021 and incorporate all wage awards until that date.
The price book aims to represent reasonable prices for maintenance and repair work and as such, provides a realistic and useful source of vital maintenance cost information for estimating and pricing.
The measured rates are therefore best suited for use on maintenance work with a value up to £100,000.
The building maintenance price book is ideal for assessing competitive tenders and as a schedule for letting work on measured term contracts. The Building Maintenance Price Book 2021 can be used to identify costs for various work including demolitions and alterations, roofing, external works, grounds maintenance, plumbing, electrics, glazing, painting and decorating.
