ICC Target Cost Version (Incorporating NR12 amendments) The ICC Network Rail Target Cost Version incorporating NR12 Amendments has been drafted in conjunction with Network Rail to provide a clear standard contract designed for use with Network Rail's Target Cost Projects and to form part of Network Rails new Plain Line contracts in support of their overall contract strategy for Track.
The Integration of Network Rail's NR12 Schedule of Amendments into the ICC Target Cost Version ensures clarity of the roles and responsibilities of the parties to the contact and as such is a key step in the continuing delivery of efficiencies within the rail industry.
They now include early warnings measures and encourage mutual trust and co-operation within the legal text. In addition the contracts have been future proofed, accommodating issues such as BIM in a flexible way which will ensure the contract remains relevant no matter the level of BIM maturity.
ICC contracts are a cost-effective way to create a professional and flexible environment for those working to deliver infrastructure projects. Stephen Blakey, commercial projects director for Network Rail said that following successful co-operation between ICC and Network Rail, they were delighted that these new contracts will build a stronger environment of trust and will be welcome news for practitioners and stakeholders across the supply chain.
The ICC contracts are a cost-effective way for contractors, consultants and engineers to mitigate risk, create trust and confidence to deliver major projects.
